ORGANZA ROSE This tablecloth is a class Enid taught for Bev Gorry in April this year and features embroidery designs from Husqvarna Viking Card No 180 design No 1. Enid went into her software and modified the design to suit her ideas.
Enid is a veteran of the sewing industry, particularly in Queensland where she is based. Before machine embroidery was popular Enid was noted for her freehand thread painting and quilting which took time and talent, so with the advent of machine embroidery Enid already had the basics and flew with the concept. So popular were Enid’s classes they were booked up months in advance.
These days Enid doesn’t do a lot of teaching, preferring to do advanced classes at Bev Gorry’s Sewing Centres in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Enid now delights in sewing and creating for her own pleasure and is very excited about her most recent purchase – a brand new Husqvarna/Viking Diamond that has caught her imagination and is keeping her creativity running at warp speed.
These five glorious tablecloths showcase and endorse Enid’s craftsmanship and creativity.
ENID’S TIP: Use Dissolve Magic as a stabiliser behind all embroidery/lace designs used in these five cloths and Tear-away Magic stabiliser at the back of the rows of decorative stitching.
ROSES ARE RED
In issue No 21 of CE we profiled Barbara
Lee’s glorious tablecloth featuring S
Embroidery lace designs SKU 10343.
Enid used the instructions, that come with
the lace designs download, to make the
tablecloth, adding her own experience
to the instructions given, to create her
tablecloth. Enid then expanded it with
Zundt rose embroidery designs from
Adorations One designs 205053 small
and 205053 large rose designs. She then
spent many hours working out the rose
embroidery placements. We know our
readers will love making this tablecloth.
